i need suggestions of cars that are fast, light, cheap ( on a student budget) so price range would probably be from $0-5000 MAX. I would also like insurance to be cheap cuz i dont have roadstar yet.

requirements

Manual only!!
light weight, il probably strip it out
LHD preferred.
and easy to find parts.

i currently have EG6 civic, AE86, or Miata on my mind.

might also want EG9 but then i dont really need the space, and its extra weight. the prob with 86 is its pretty old and hard to find one in decent condition. and the miata looks gay, and i dont know if its easy to tap power out of this car and the availability of parts. but yea the way it looks is the biggest problem.

what other cars are there? and discuss
Early 90's Suzuki Swift? Can recall back in the mid-nineties on Sportsnet with some races at the Ontario Motor park. It was really just between David Empringham's M5 versus the up-and-coming Audi with its quattro system. Although the Swift was getting lapped it was nice looking back to see it still buzzing around.

Although regulators and administrators still seem to control the line, it would be nice to see the concept Nissan Endo come to fruition.

FC's aren't that reliable. Actually let me rephrase. If you don't take care of them, they aren't reliable. The 1st gen's are small, quick and have the potential to have a lot of power under the hood if you do a swap. The stock 12a doesn't have a lot of power, but it gets the job done and is great for a daily. Like someone said before, what are you planning on doing with it? (sorry if I missed it).

And FB's are more reliable than the newer generations and the parts are easier to find (as long as it isn't the GSL-SE suspension >< god damn it). So my vote is the FB =]
