After playing with both of them, i went with the Dream...once you go qwerty, you don't go back.

I do a lot of emailing and texting with my phone, so qwerty is better for me.

And honestly, I thought there isn't enough of a size/weight difference between the two to warrant losing a qwerty keyboard.

woohooo the revolutions here : P

so does anyone have the magic? do these rogers androids read chinese/korean?
I really liked how the tmobile g1 read korean, since most phones usually never do that.

Have you noticed whether your timestamps for incoming texts are in Eastern time?

It's like that for me, and apparently a lot of people are having the same issue.

The messages I send are in pacific time, and the messages I receive are in Eastern time (+3hrs)....so it messes up the threaded SMS...

Yea I have the same problem, I called in this morning and they resetted my network but didn't work. I read that the same problem happened in the states with the g1. BTW, do know of you can up the quality of YouTube?

avinayyar 06-09-2009 12:12 AM

^^ that pic is a G1...yours?

bobo6833:
some videos have the option for "high quality" mode
When the video is loaded, press menu -> more -> High quality. (if there is no HQ option, that means the video doesn't support it)

M1 aka G2 aka Magic. Mine.

^ how's the black glossy finish? does it attract dust and finger prints?

bobo6833 06-09-2009 01:06 PM

I figured out how to watch high quality videos on youtube. Apparently for some reason when you youtube on the 3g network it downgrades the video. But if you youtube on wifi its quality is so crisp and clear as in hq and hd!

weird...

It probably has a network speed detection...and since Rogers 3G is slow, it downgrades the quality so it can keep up.

But like i mentioned a few posts above...sometimes the "HQ" option is avail. in the settings menu while viewing a video.
