| LR2 HSE
Anyone has one? Not a bad looking small SUV.
Land rover seems to have reliability issues before, but this one apparently is made by Ford ???, Could it be a good CUV/SUV purchse?
What would you pick out of X3, Q5, Tiguan, LR2, EX35, RDX, GLK?

LR2 or Q5 - everything else is crap.
I own a 01 disco and not a single major problem with it. In its life time, i had to replace one window motor and rear wiper motor - both below $200 each.
When you buy Land Rover - you buy the best SUV on the planet. Audi seems to be winning as well off road so the Q is a safe bet.
The acura is horrible - the worst SUV of all you listed.
Bmw is allright. not the greatest off roader and not the best interior quality for X3.
Tiguan=Q5.
Infiniti - wow i thought the datsun GTR was ugly...
GLK is pretty much a Chrysler collaboration, from before when chrysler existed.
Ford started making Land Rovers in 2002. Sold to India a few years ago.

from interior and technology bells and whistles, I thought Q5 > LR2. LR2 looks pretty plain and basic even with the Navigation.
Not much price different i guess.
The one other thing is from the listed cars. Which one will give more BOAT feel while driving, and which one will feel like a sports car?
I listed EX35 because its powerful VQ engine and interier design.

RDX feels pretty nice to drive. Not "boaty" at all... and that engine has some punch when the turbo spools up. |

I have a Freelander 2(LR2) myself. Such a great car! Suspension setting is firm and comfortable and it handles rather well!

Is this a deal or should i negotiate more
I didn't check Q5, RDX and EX35, but somehow i think these will be much cheaper.

I believe dollar for dollar you are getting most bang out of the MERCEDES GLK350. If you equip either the Q5, X3 etc side by side, the GLK is approx $3000-$5000 less

I have an X3 si and its great to drive but it's getting old now, as far as off road ability, for what the lower mainland can throw at you a decent set of snow tires will get you through in any one of these SUV/CUVs, can't stand people who drive out there with all seasons thinking they are invincible cause their cars are high up...
And in response to jigga250s comment I believe my stock X3 can easily outhandle and outperform the RDX, I've driven the RDX and its nowhere near as sharp as the X3. X3 is overpriced however but if you lease it it's cheaper than everyone else.
The LR2 looks nice but i've heard it doesn't drive very well, but it does look different than most other CUVs out there. I would say either the Q5 or the LR2, Q5 is newer and audi probably has better build quality. and not to mention QUATTRO!!!

It's based on a stretched C-class platform and unlike the GL and ML, it's made in Germany.
Haven't driven the LR2, what's the AWD system like, front wheel drive based? Q5 is not bad, but more expensive than the GLK with similar equipment.

The LR2 is a good vehicle compared to the other Land Rover line up. Reliability is not an issue as it doesn't have a lot of problems. Power band is pretty good and driver usability is easy and straight forward. It has a very comfortable ride.

I think fuel economy wise the LR2 would probably be the worst,
If i had to choose it would still be the LR2 or the Q5,
GLK looks poorly proportioned, although it is a good deal... but Mercedes quality shouldn't be trusted...
Used LR2s probably go for pretty cheap if its like any other Land Rover.
