| Canada XpressPost USA.... slow?
I sold my console to an ebayer and sent the system to cali using Canada XpressPost, they said it should takje 3,4,5 business days but its the 7th business day now and there's no update on the tracking info..
Could it be held in customs or lost?
Called Canadapost to open an inquiry... but like you know it takes ages for them to find an answer.
Here's the tracking information
2009/05/0511:42
International shipment has arrived in the destination country
11:42
International item arrived in destination country
2009/05/0420:13
International item has left Canada
16:26RICHMONDItem processed at postal facility
12:38VANCOUVERItem accepted at the Post Office
Can anyone chime in with their experience?

Try entering the tracking number at USPS.com, I think it should have more detailed tracking of the package once it enters the USA.
There's a chance it could be held at customs for clearance since its a higher priced item.

Most likely a customs delay but I think you can claim the delay and recover your shipping costs (if the service has some sort delivery guarantee).

just a heads up, when you ship to usa to canada and vice versa it doesnt matter that much if you use express post. because once canada post sends it to the states, the package is now in the hands of united postal service. so to them it's just a regular parcel. they can take as much time as they want with it. now if you were to use express post inside of canada then it usually gets there in 3 days

Xpresspost is a guaranteed shipping product. If the package does not arrive at its destination by the guaranteed shipping time, you can get Canada Post to refund the shipping cost.

I used their Xpresspost and the product didn't arrive where it had to be at the guaranteed time. I filed for a refund and got it, although it took a hell of a long time...

I probably get 1 package out of every 10 that doesn't arrive on time. I remember having one that was supposed to arrive in Florida in 4 days but it took 30 (confirmation number never said it was stuck in customs, ever.) I ended up using the money I got back from Canada Post and sending my customer a free gift on the side. Getting a claim does take forever since they mail you a cheque in the mail...

The worst delay for me using Canadapost has to be a shirt I sold on eBay to a buyer in Thailand and I used Canadapost's airmail service which is suppose to take 7-10 business days. Well, this was in Feb and the buyer just got the shirt a week ago but the shirt was damaged and the packaging was ripped open.
I filed a claim, which is a major pain in the ass, and now I'm waiting for Canadapost to issue me a refund for the shirt + shipping cost which is around $200.
