yeah, the only downside to getting a diesel would be that diesel stations are far and few between if Chevron is any indicator. according to their own website, only the Main and SE Marine Dr location has diesel. seems a bit weird that there wouldn't be more diesel pumps throughout the city. but then again, i guess with the mileage that diesel gets, you don't need to fuel up as often.

i wonder what the numbers are for the new VW diesels when they're chipped... anyone with figures?

on the new 09 common rail engines they are pushing 163whp and 290wtq

A lot of huskys in lower mainland have diesel so its not too hard

makes sense to get a MK4 TDI but they're still pretty $$$

I was thinking about a jetta as well... 2003 1.8L have 180HP stock right? that's the one I'm most interested in from the jetta line.

the 2002+ 1.8T engines, yes.
