Same here.
I called and told them nicely I am changing addresses and since I am moving I am going to start a clean sheat by going to Telus as they are offering me a PVR.
We chatted for a bit and then she offered me the deal. Just so you know, and I found this out the hardway after a month of going through 2 different PVR sets, the ones you purchase off of the retention plans are REFURBISHED PVRS.

I just called Shaw and was offered:
- HD Basic + HD Sports + High Speed internet for $95.90 (same price as website)
BUT:
- 1 normal dish and 1 HD PVR for free
- 2 months of free internet
- 6 more months of $19.95 internet
- free installation
Is this a good deal? Any ideas??

I am paying the basic price, $62.95, and have every single HD channel except the movie channels and TSN.
How? I never had HD, never wanted HD, yet wanted NFL Sunday Ticket and it was only offered in HD. Shaw had a special to sign up for NFL Sunday Ticket for a discount ($159 vs $199), and get the HD PVR for 1/2 price ($199 vs $399). When I got home and activated everything I noticed I had all the HD channels (except movies and TSN) without paying anything extra. I thought this would end when NFL Sunday ticket ran out, yet no, I still have all the HD channels.
Beat that suckas!

About to end service with shaw and have signed up with telus as shaws prices were more expensive and they weren't willing to give a new promotion. Getting basic cable and internet for 36 for 6 months, then 65 after that and I get pvr rental for free and an xbox Posted via RS Mobile |
