Leaving transfer paper in blank???

I am trying to sell my car to a local guy here and he said he is willing to buy it as long as I left the transfer paper in blank.

Should I be aware of anything if I do this???

Only thing I could think of is he would sell it to other without having to double tax it?

Don't do it. Too much in the way of liability if you give him a blank transfer paper and simply assume he finishes it himself.

sounds like a potential scam.

Best case scenario, he's gonna flip it and transfer straight to the new buyer so as to avoid paying tax.

Worst case, he kills someone with the car or drives through someone's house with it and doesn't get caught. Guess who's liable?

Is he a fat persian guy? Maybe met you with a skinny persian guy?

Stupid me, first time selling my car, I filled out my part, including the right mileage, signed and gave it to the two guys.

A couple weeks later, I get a call at my home number from some guy in Victoria asking about my car because he supposedly bought it from my "boyfriend". Turns out the guys flipped it, rolled the mileage back by about 200,000km and forged my signature on another transfer paper and directly sold it from my name to the new owner. Poor guy bought my tri-k integ for his daughter as her first car. The guy told me the fat persian guy said he was selling it for his "girlfriend" when asked about the name on the paper. Good thing the car was really still in great condition, so he had no problem keeping the car, but he just wanted to catch those guys and see if I knew anything more. Of course, the numbers we both had were pre-paid phones and were long disconnected.

So really, I lucked out. The buyer could have come after me for those guys rolling back the mileage.
