Dog Throwing Up, Help!

I need some advice on what to do.

My Lab/German Sherpherd/Husky hasn't been able to keep down her food in the past 4-5 days. We thought it would pass in a day or two, but she just threw up again. It tends to happen once or twice a day, usually at night. She also has less energy and less of an appetite. She's 12 years old.

We tried witholding food from her for 12-24 hours and then just gave her some boiled skinless chicken breast with white rice and she couldn't hold that down either.

I don't know what vets are still open right now (or tomorrow) and would like some advice on what to do!

After a search on google, I found that some people give their dogs 1-2 tablespoons of pepto bismol, but I'm a little hesitant about this. I noticed today that her pee is very dark yellow so I'm worried about her getting dehydrated

Please help!

Damn, I can't seem to find the card of the vet my brother took our dog when he was attacked by another dog in the middle of the night. But regardless, I'd take your dog to the vet ASAP. Call around and see if any are open tomorrow.

take your dog to the vet asap...throwing up each day is not good...dehydration comes really quick for dogs compared to humans

Not the best vet place in the world, but convenient. We took our chihuahua there once after she hurt her leg.

sorry to hear that news. good on you for getting it checked into, and then making the decision to give the dog relief.

41st and fraser. Although this place is 24hours I would highly recommend not going there. I've had lots of people in the past have horrible experiences there and in a few cases their dog ended up dieing in their hands. There were rumors in the past that they even had unlicensed vets working there but like I said they were "rumors". There are definitely other 24 hour vets in Van but if you must beware.

One example was a friends dog was not feeling too hot and took it to tp the Fraser place. They said oh he has cancer and he will die. She took it to another place right after and found out it was just something minor that was fixed in no time. Dog was up and running within a couple days and lived on for many more years. There have been other examples of people brining in dogs with minor problems and even the vet saying yea nothing major, next thing you know oops it's dead.
