got my car with (i think) 70% front, 50% rear. never had a problem yet. the one time i got pulled over i put my window all the way down before the officer walked up

You can be like me, I get pulled over when ever I just have my windows all the way down.  .
99% they assume my windows are tinted. 
Best part is there is no tint on the front windows, everything else is 5%.

the more attitude you give the cop the harder they try to find something to ticket you with. Even if they can't find anything wrong with your car they can still purposely make you stay at the side of the road for an hr while they "check" your records.
I wonder how OP is with the popos. kind of remind me of my ex whom got pull over because she change lane without signal than give so much attitude to the cop that she end up with a 500$ ticket and a suspension.

had my car for 4 years now, 50% tint front windows, one time got pulled over for tinted windows and told it came with the car, gave me a warning to remove, never removed it, life goes on

the new accord coupe V6's come with a light sheet of tint standard from the factory.
i had a customer come in and had to rip his off.
so... is it legal? or do we blame the manufacturer? is it possible to go to court for that?

it's not even 95% L.E. it's like 99%, and it's prefectly legal...
so go ahead drug dealers! get 99% tint!.... useless....

| That's what I did, Except you can't see shit out the back, I think next time, I'll go for 5% on the sides and 15% out back just because, driving a 5% tinted rear window at night is hell

I've tinted front windows on all my vehicles since I started driving.
I had a Nissan hardbody pickup single cab. Tinted the front windows myself 20%. Rolled around for atleast a year with those and an N. Finally got pulled while rolling through a residential street and a cop that was bored. Stripped it and didn't pay anything.
My S14 I got the rear 3 windows tinted 20% and the fronts 35%. Was pulled over for minor stuff like speeding and rolling stop signs. Always rolled down the windows goin through roadblocks, or if I could see I would roll up beside/near a cop. Never got a warning or ticket nor did I have to remove the tint.
SC300 was tinted, never any issues.
Sentra SE-R had 50% on fronts, drove for about a year without ever being pulled over.
CL was tinted 35% all around never had any issues.
Crossfire was tinted on the front windows but since I bought it in the USA I had to remove tint to pass Prov/Fed inspection. I will be getting the front windows tinted 35% in the very near future. As long as you're quick on the roll down you really shouldn't have much issue.
Your mileage may vary...
