With a limited production run and a selling price of over 200k, it might not be a loss leader for them. The retail price of this car may just be high enough to cover the cost of R&D.

1000 x 200000 = $200,000,000

Highly doubt they invested that much to produce this car.

what's the point of multiplying it by 1,000?

the car will retail at $200k, if it cost more than $200k/car to produce, including all the costs for projects and production...well it won't be good for profit.

Each Bugatti Veyron costs £5millon($8.83million) to produce, yet they sell it for approx £800,000($1.41million) so they're losing £4.2million($7.42million) on each Veyron they sell.

I wouldn't be surprised if LF-A costs $200,000 or more, and multiply it by 1,000...sure it would cost $200million.
