i bought a tv at the visions on marine with this warranty and they ended up trying to slip me the demo model. i opened the box to find a used tv with fingerprints all over it and the stickers they keep on it for display. i ended up returning the tv, but the incident inspired me to do a search on visions customer service and found a thread where some people were complaining they weren't able to redeem their warranty credit unless they bought something over a certain amount at regular price. in the end, one of the guys couldn't buy a 2000 dollar tv because, like all their tv's, it was marked down from its originally insane price. that was a while ago though and by the looks of the replies in this thread, i guess they change their policy.

i bought a tv from there 5 years ago with extended warranty. bought another tv few months ago and used the $300 extended warranty credit on the tv that was on sale (at cost price as it was clearance) for $1500. i would defintely buy extended warranty from them again. not sure about 1 time warranty claim though

They are using your warranty money to finance their store. It's basically using you as accounts payable or a bank, except you don't collect interest.
Sneaky (or smart?!) way to do it. Plus, 90% of the people don't collect the warranty money, and they still make a profit when you buy your next item. It's winwinwin for them.

This really sucks if you need to repair something like a remote, if they fix the remote, there goes your warranty. | Not true anymore. They will repair it as many times as it takes within the warranty period. Also if it goes in 3 or more times you will get a replacement item. As for the money back, true it is in store credit and there is a minimum purchase amount, but thats still better than anywhere else where you will never even have the chance to get your money back. When you make your purchase all of the info is on your receipt...

I still think this warranty is quite legit, compared to the warranty FS/BB has which offers NOTHING in return... my only fear would be Visions not sticking around for the next 3-4 yrs
