That's a bit different. Saying you'd by a car if it simply had a different badge on it isn't the same. Why would someone not buy a car they like because of the logo on the front? I don't hold off on buying clothing simply because of who made it, regardless of the price. Good clothing is good clothing, just like a good car is a good car. Who cares who makes it?

damn.

was reading the vancouver sun today about this magna deal. something in the sale agreement states that opel will not be sold in north america or in china. i did not state why, but magna commented that that could change in the future.

and there are no plans to take over saab or saturn either. the focus is on opel at the moment, but if things work out, it's a possibility.

the article also mentioned that hummer has caught the interest of a lage chinese heavy machinery manufacturer. again no details.

We are living in interesting times. Every day brings more changes. I'm interested to see what Magna can do with Opel.
