dude after playing so many games, this is the first one i've actually pre-ordered.
split it as a group of 4, just waiting on the release in mid nov, which is unfortunately right before finals . . .

i just did a quick run through of the first campaign.
they say it's running the same engine as l4d which I had no issues with but it's a lot choppier for me running l4d2.
As powerful as the melee weapons + kick is, i miss the dual pistol action to provide some ranged firing when toting a shotgun..

The demo was a little disappointing only in that it was too short. I was really hoping to be able to play through an entire campaign not just the first two levels. No epic final battle. Already beat it on hardcore, now I just gotta wait for the release.

Also, dual pistols are in the demo - just grab a second one off the ground and you got yer dual pistols.  Quote:

^ plus they wouldn't want to give a full demo because people already roughly know how L4D works. they just needed to put out enough of a demo to suck people in.

My point was I played the entire demo (advanced then hardcore) in less than an hour and now have to wait 3 weeks for release. Since there are only the first 2 levels of the campaign there isn't really any replayability to it so there is nothing to do but wait.

It's not supposed to have replayability, if it did, people wouldn't buy the game. Games that come out with huge demos you never feel like buying because you get most of what you want out of the demo. they're only supposed to give you a taste, and their goal is to have you wanting moar.
