Rogers grandfathered comm. value pkg.

I just got my invoice in the mail today and I noticed I got charged an extra $1 for my communication value package.

This is a grandfathered value package of $11 with CID, VM, 125 txt.
Can Rogers do this?
I thought the price remained as is.

It could be that your grandfathered package had a re-occuring $1 credit every month and the credit itself expired and has to be manually added back on.

I'm not saying this is what the problem is but it's possible.

So I talked and technically Rogers can do whatever they want.
No price protection whatsoever.

wtf

^ yep.
I believe the 'features' remain unchanged, not the price. The price can always change. Period.

Say the old comm pack I had, previously $10, then $11, and now it's $12 as of last month. My old VP included CID, VM, 125 txt. Current $12 VP includes CID, ND, VM -- features remain, price changes.

Only plans are never touched.
Sad, but true.

yeah apparently only your price plans are protected by contract but they can do whatever the hell they want with their add-ons/value packs. fuckin rogers.

they're also getting rid of the $35 500mb value pack (which was $30 before btw) and turning it into a 1gb $40 value pack too.

just call and say you're gonna cancel and if you still have a contract, just say once its completed, you're going to telus since they're building the hspa network. the cancel word works wonders!
