| Cutting a composite shaft myself?
I just got an Easton Stealth S5 shaft from Cyclone Taylor yesterday.
I got them to attach a blade on, but realized it was about 3 inches too long.
Should I go back and expect they will be able to cut it for me, free service?
Or should I just take out a hacksaw and try to cut it myself?
(If I cut it myself, any tips on how to approach that?)
This is pretty much the entry level ($30) composite shaft, so there isn't any
special kick points or anything like that.

If you're doing it yourself you don't have much to worry about except making sure you make a straight cut. Lightly score the shaft a couple times until you make a dent in it before cutting. If you're placing the stick on a rough surface and holding it down with one hand while cutting the graphics will get all messed up so I'd wrap it in a towel.

It turns out I might just end up doing it myself because I might not have time to go out to Cyclone Taylor today. And I need to use my stick tonight.
Is there any issues I need to worry about, like the shaft cracking?
I got one of those things where I can put my stick against this flat thing that already has precut grooves for a saw, so I can get a straight cut.

I'm not in a league or anything. Don't have the time to commit, nor the money. Since I'm not working now, even the drop-in price can add up... lol
I'm just playing drop-in rollerhockey twice a week for the summer. (the cost is cheaper than ice) and I can practice rollerhockey on my own without having to pay for stick and puck.
I'll probably play ice again in the winter if there is drop in sessions again.
