What do you strive for in the gym?

Whether you want to be HUGE like Arnold, or a killing machine like GSP, your idea of "the perfect body" has to be different from this fitness ad I spotted today (in HK):

Personally, this is what I consider to be the "perfect" body. Not something I could ever hope for, or even want to try to attempt:

Frank Zane, before the steroids craze ruined everything for weightlifters

The scary thing is there are naturals now that are getting up to Arnolds size.
Then again Arnold was never the biggest bodybuilder. He was big but his thing was how perfectly everything went together.
That picture of Frank Zane is pretty sweet though.

Shit, I might as well go to HK and model

I used to want to be big, but not anymore. I like being leaner and having more flexibility. (Most) sports are difficult when you're bulky

For me, I'm trying to get to a solid 195lbs with low bodyfat. I'm about 5'10-5'11.

The only thing "natural" about "natural" body building is that they time their cycles so they can pass a piss test before the competition takes place.

Ah, the bodybuilding icon for Asians

He is slim, that's for sure. He never had much in the way of muscle mass though.. A lot of the Bruce Lee stuff is more legend than reality. Your image of his physique is probably more based on movie posters and statues than his actual body

Well there are a lot of quotes from famous people that say how incredible his body was. His incredibly low body fat level was dangerous though

Currently I have a similar physique and build as GSP, 5'10 187lbs, just stepped on the scale this morning. My goal when I first started training was always to get built like Arnold, but obviously I've fallen way short of that goal, lol.

My goal is to be the equivalant of a pitbulls physique

Lean, brutal, agile... basically like GSP

Some more mass over my arms and shoulders would be good, but I'd rather have striations and vascularity over bulk.

something like this would be ideal:

minus the fucked up hair, i am just saying about the upper body.

some may say it's too skinny, but that's what i think is a decent body. being too big is ugly.
