Bold vs. Javelin vs. Onyx?

Which one is worth getting/waiting for (Onyx)?

Does Fido still offer BB data plans?

If I have the 6GB data plan for the iPhone and want to switch it to the 500MB for BB data (assuming Fido offers that too since Rogers have it). Will I be assigned a BB pin, or do I need something else to acquire one?

If Fido doesn't offer any BB plans can I switch from Fido to Rogers?

At the moment, I am a Fido customer under a 3 years contract for the iPhone, almost reaching my first year of the contract.

Sorry for asking many questions, this is my first time getting a BB.

the blackberry itself will have its own unique pin, you will not be assigned one. Why you want to switch from the 6gb data plan, I cannot understand.

^ I thought you can't use the 6GB plan with the BB since it's for iPhone?

yes, the data plan for bb is different. a bb data plan will work with all phones, but the regular data plan like the one for iphone wont work with a berry.

is 500mb good enough for monthly usage? not sure if i should go with that or 1gb.

I've yet to go over 500mb a month. I have gps and location aiding on all the time, use google maps a lot, as well as web browsing. I do not, however, stream videos from youtube on it. That being said, you find a lot of wifi and that saves a lot of data usage from the plan.

500mb is more than enough.

on heavy use, i didn't even hit 500mb.

the max i've ever hit was 233mb. i would suggest for you to wait for the onyx and see how that feels. if you can hold out for that long, if the onyx isn't the one, you can still get the javelin, for probably a lower price too.

^ Yeah I like the specs of the Onyx but not the look. Currently looking for a Javelin that's unlocked. Anyone know a good place? Phonemore's price is.. $_$

How could you not like the onyx if you like the javelin? They're almost exactly identical in terms of form design. Unless you don't like black?
