Anyone have any experience with driving schools around burnaby or vancouver?
Is it worth it to go there to slash 6 months off the L to N stage?
What kind of cars do you get to drive there ?

I've taken a driving school in north vancouver before. I don't remember much. They taught me some stuff I guess?? But I mainly took it to cut the L stage in half because back then it was 6 months for the L i think?? taking a course would cut it down to 3... I can't remember.. man I'm getting old haha.
I say if you really want your N and you know you can be prepared for the road test sooner than later go for it.
But usually most driving schools use corolla's unless you go with young n driver maybe you will get a mustang ?? if they still have them.
edit: Make sure it is an ICBC approved education driver course

What kind of cars do you get to drive there ? | Where the hell have you been getting your info from?
It is now 6month off the original 24monthes of "N".
Before the change just over 2 years ago, it was 3 months off the original 12 of "L" but you can no longer do that.
Sorry buddy but your gonna have to wait your full 12 months. 6 months off your "N" doesn't sound that bad though.

It's not about getting your class 7N or class 5 as soon as possible, it's about acquiring the necessary skills to survive the roads for years to come.
People who say good courses aren't worth it are talking out of their asses. It's always good to get the right training when you are relatively inexperienced so that you don't pick up bad driving habits.
I went through Young Drivers 9 years ago and I am still glad that I did.

I just did my first couple sessions of YD tonight. It's pretty solid stuff since my instructor put emphasis on the fundamentals so early.
On a side note, anyone know the ins and outs of the Road Test route in Burnaby? YD is booking my session there, and I wanna know in advance to what I should be aware of.

hmm.. can young driver fix all the bad habits I've developed over the last 8 months?,
-never shoulder checking
-steering with one hand
-letting go of the wheel
-steering with one finger
-One of the most important on the road test speeding, I often find myself going at least 70 in the city... I dunno it just ends up there, i'm not racing or nething...
-Not shifting while turning
-and also double clutching into first at stop signs jkjk

+ 1 for Young Drivers. I signed up with them for my 7N and I have several lessons in the next couple of weeks to prep/brush up for my exam for my class 5.
