Omnia HD (Samsung in general) = gay battery

something ALWAYS goes wrong with samsung... not something you would want in the long run. i had the omnia and there were times when it got laggy even though i was just tryna exit something!

i need a new phone.. mine has been dropped too many times and it's not functioning properly anymore. =( i am kind of inbetween e71 and n97.. i don't really do much besides text like crazy or check my email. i want something nice looking lol. what do you guys suggest?

im an omnia HD user and the battery is great... im a pretty heavy user and i can go 2 days without charging it

the symbian OS on it used to be laggy but with the latest firmwares its great.

Nokia vs Samsung? I'd take Nokia in any day. :)

My manager has a N95 8GB that I recommended when company signed up the contract almost a year ago. He emailed me few days ago with title "Thank you for recommended a water proof phone for me". I was puzzled. Then he explained the detail in the email. He told me he dropped his n95 8gb in the lake for 1 good minute. When he picked up the phone, he took out the battery right away and shook out a lot of water out of the phone.

He dried the phone and then turn it back on after dry, guess what? it still works. I use the tool to open up the phone just to make sure everything inside are dry. I can feel the battery sticker still wet and water testing sticker changed color but it still works. :)

Nokia = waterproof
HTC = drowns when there is only water vapour around
Samsung Omnia HD = homosexual (according to bcrdukes) because the battery isn't as big as the N97/E71 one :p

For people who have used E71, which do you prefer? E71 or N97?

200 Euros? That's significantly a lot for the same phone, but in smaller form.

As of right now, probably equal. After another major firmware update or two, the N97. The E71 is the king of stability and multitasking and lets you type real fast on it. The N97 has the touchscreen, the BIG screen, HUGE storage and the amazing camera, but lacks total stability and is pretty dismal at multitasking. The thumboard I've gotten used to so I can type decently fast on the N97, but the softness of the keys means I make many, many more mistakes while typing as compared to using the E71.

E71 is more bauss.

fuk.. finally got traditional/simp chinese on my n97-3.. no more fuking fontrouter.. now the n97 nam does everything i want including the ability to read and write chinese @_@

For those still looking for an N97, the white one is selling at newegg.ca for 649.99 + $10 shipping + GST. I don't know why PST isn't showing up (no, I'm not in Alberta :p), not sure whether its a glitch, or a no PST promotion or they don't charge it anymore, no idea why. :confused:

I can't say for sure that the courier won't be collecting it at the door, but I hope not. I placed an order and was shipped today :)

Google Palringo, as I forget if I had to download it on the computer. For Opera Mini, go to http://mini.opera.com/ in your default S60 browser and follow the prompts. Version 4.2 right now is pretty good (in fact, I'm using it RIGHT NOW. :)), but the new 5.0 will be wicked. The beta that's out right now is missing some features like bookmark sync, but it's a way, way better experience. And it's not even complete yet! :lol

meh i only used opera mini coz i had to use font router to display chinese ~ now that i got the actual chinese on my n97-3 i'm back to the default broswer it ain't too bad ~ as for the v20 fw it's gonna be on either the 9th or the 10th. ~ where do i/ can i download games for this thing? my game folder is empty :( and all the games i dl is in the app folder ~ where's the ngage games ~~
