I saw Mobile DNA at Lansdowne selling the N97 on a new activation with Bell for $49.99 as a boxing week special. I cringed :whine: I think the promo said they were waiving the activation fee too. |
Take my advice. Never ever, EVER EVER try to change an N97's housing by yourself. A couple of broken parts and parts left in the old housing later....I give you this lol (I'll be seeing JP Cellular soon HAHAHA) http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/2...5860844819.jpg http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/28/imgp05870856439.jpg |
^ what did you break? lol |
The inside of two lens covers, part of the keyboard, missing two antennas of some sort and a power button flew out somewhere LOL :haha: |
omg thats so sexy whered u get the parts and diff color lights? i want :) |
Lights were already there. Parts from eBay. |
Anybody find lag between hitting the key and the character registering on the screen when typing? Specifically since now I can type pretty fast with this kb. Posted via RS Mobile |
Only when there are a lot of apps open. Other than that, there is no lag for me. v20 firmware on my N97-3. Posted via RS Mobile |
What is considered a lot? My ram is usually 38mb free at startup, I'm on the new firmware and installed the C: re-organizer but didn't yield that much extra free space. I have my nimbuzz, music player, email widget open always. The homescreen, widget UI, messaging "app" do those really count? I have taskman to check whats open. Ram is fine until I do some heavy browsing on the opera mobile, hogs the system then it will be at the limit pretty much. |
Yeah. That's pretty much too much on this "mobile computer." hahahah I have nothing open other than i-SMS. That's it. |
would someone mind posting their internet and email settings (gmail and shaw)??..i can't get this thing to work =/... and i thought the n97 mini has quad 3G as listed on the nokia europe sites...guess not =( |
