Pop in your sim, dial *#0000#. Should say Nokia N97-3 in one of the lines. If not, GTFO |

Putting the black one back on would fix it haha It's not broken, just has two parts that are still on the black housing disconnected. |

- Basically download the 4 files for NAM.
- Then download the 1 language pack file from desired language. ( I used HK language pack) and then changed the file name of this to the file name of the NAM version (RM-507_20.2.019_prd.rofs2.V28 this is for the new V2 firmware) AND REPLACE THIS FOR THE NAM ONE.
- Then flash them. | didn't that flash rm-505 firmware which loses NAM 3G?
which firmware did you choose?

if you navifirm to download the firmware, which version of firmware did you choose?
many thanks.

I need to do more reading....... but thanks kardborad.
Strange too, my n97 drains the fully charged battery from my E71 in about 7~8 hours which I replaced before I go to sleep. I am pretty sure I don't have internet or anything turn on, but it was completely dead when I woke up.
Also, is it just me or is it on everyone? I found N97 signal not as strong as E71.

I don't know enough about the firmware files themselves to give you an answer.
What I can tell you is that, a) that battery usage seems odd, and b), correct, my E71's reception was also better.

I have turned off a lot of programs and will keep an eye on it.
reception < E71..... hmmm.... that's not good..... |

I find my N97 reception to be bad in some areas. My E71 was bullet proof even in heavily cemented areas.
Still can't find a solution for garmin, its easy to find out for the N95 its well documented. But the N97 is different?

^ I had it on N95 and E71 and found it drains battery much faster than normal. I love Garmin, but I'd rather have longer battery life. |
