The biggest losers in all of this is the players and coaches. Imagine playing infront of a empty building or a building full of people who don't give a shit about hockey but just came for the free hotdog and beer.

That being said, there are lots of deals in the smaller hockey markets in the US. I believe Nashville and Atlanta had cheap cheap tickets with free dinner included.
