Byfuglien has already taken his fair share of cheap shots at Luongo in last year's playoffs. Its about time someone lays out one of their stars, clean hit to boot |

Moores hit was a head shot, and he left his feet to make the hit. | I don't remember Moore's hit being dirty. If there was any elbow at all, it's because most bodychecks are thrown sideways. To the best of my recollection, I don't remember Moore going into the hit with an elbow out. Quote:

It's our D's job to clear the front of the net or make people pay if they want to establish territory. That's why you see Salo slew footing centres. That area is no man's land unless it's Bieksa.
I'm actually glad one of the commentators finally caught on our weak hits. It seems like most of hits are just done in an effort to finish their checks but really, all their just doing is brushing up against the other players. Good on Willie to step it up. But it speaks on the effort of others.

I think people think it's like the Moore hit on Naslund because it involves the captain. Don Taylor was saying last night - he thinks someone will now go after Mitchell kinda like the Bertuzzi incident. I don't think that will happen. Someone may ask Mitchell to drop the gloves - he will and its all done.
As much as I hate the Hawks - especially Kane. I know I will be cheering for Toews to make team Canada. Good Canadian kid. You see how quick he got up from that hit. Granted he was seeing little birds and wasn't balanced - he got up right away and skated to the bench. He even said - "I had my fucking head down"...
That FAIL buttin is awesome!..lol

Moore left his feet, hit Naslund in the head and Nassy was leaning forward for the puck.
Not too sure what you mean most body checks are thrown sideways. I know they aren't thrown in reverse.

In invite you to watch the online video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWajVBCfw-E. Currently, 90 marginalized children in Langley are being given this chance. Many of these children are participating in 2-4 hours of hockey and 1-3 hours of “Lit-Fit”™ (homework club & literacy program) each week. PuCKS builds kids’ capacities. The program encourages the development of personal assets for success in school, career and life. It reinforces empowerment ~ discouraging entitlement and learned helplessness. It emphasizes selflessness and a giving-spirit.
To the mod - don't know if I am allowed to put it here - so please delete if so.

A borderline NHL player in Steve Moore - saw Naslund in a very uncompromising position. With Naslund's head so low he took the opporrunity to nail him. It's not outright a cheap hit. The fact that it was a 4th liner hitting our captain is what makes it not sit right with me.

But in all fairness, is it fair to have an in-game social heirarchy? Like should there be an unwritten code that team superstars or captans should be exempt from physical contact.
I respect your opinion otherwise but in my own personal opinion, it seems so unhockeylike to me.

After watching that Mitchell on Toews hit I youtubed the hit that Stevens pretty much ended Eric Lindros' career with and it isn't even close. The Mitchell hit is way more violent, I'm surprised Toews got up at all.

Man, that video still makes me sick. It was a good thing the entire team went and defended Brashear.
