Imagine a secret service agent diving in front of a bullet for the president.
I'd do that shit for the Canucks. Infect me with swine flu already if it meant all the Canucks were healthy for the rest of the season.

So someone explain to me how the NHL is going to find a owner or ownership group that will keep the Coyotes in Phoenix with the attendance numbers below;
Attendance: 5,855 (33.5% full) - Nov 2nd
Attendance: 6,495 (37.1% full) - Oct 31st
Attendance: 7,968 (45.5% full) - Oct 24th
On a side note it looks like the Islanders are in big trouble as well, they're averaging below 10,000 per game. Even Tampa, Nashville and Miami are filling more seats.

Behind the Leafs net.
What do Maple Leaf players have in common with Abe Lincoln?

If Hamilton got an NHL team Toronto would want one too.
What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and possums have in common?

great game last night. Man Sammuelson is awesome. I hope we can lock him up longterm after his contract is over. He seems to always score a goal every game or every other game

Anyone who mentions "Shutout" before a game is over is going to get an automatic FAIL button.
It's the code on the ice, it should be a code in here.

#3 in team points (14 in 16 games, behind Kes with 16 and Hank with 17)
#1 in goals with 8
#3 in plus/minus (+2, behind Mitchell with +3 and Ehrhoff at +4, which gives him the best +/- for forwards)
#1 in PPG at 4 (half-dozen others are tied for second at 2 - also tied with a dozen others for 2nd in the league)
#1 in GWG with 2 (tied with Raymond)
#1 in shots at 54 (Raymond #2 with 44)
Yeah... pretty nice FA pickup there, I'd say. Gillis!

His contract is for another two years after this one and he will be 35 at that point, which is getting rather old for forwards.
Anyone 35 and over should be signed to no more than one or two year contracts. Gillis isn't retarded. That's why Sundin, Demitra, etc weren't offered more than one or two years.
The guy we REALLY need to lock down long term is Ryan Kesler. Then Mitchell. Mitchell is invaluable to this team. I'd like to have Ryan Johnson here too but he isn't getting any younger either.

Heard some guy on the radio, prob Troy from White Rock saying how Gillis phoned Ohlund and said, you owe me. I let Tampa talk to you before your contract was up, and so now I need you to just level Kessel in his debut. lol... |

I thought half the team jumped the bench or something. I can't imagine if half the team got a few game suspension... |

O'Brien will sit out Thursday night's game in Minnesota against the Wild.
The league also suspended Rangers forward Dane Byers for one game and fined New York coach John Tortorella $10,000. Byers was assessed an instigator penalty at 18:50 of the third period Tuesday night in a fight with Vancouver winger Tanner Glass.
