I understood your post completely, and I said that ON PAPER, AS WELL AS ON THE ICE (clearly), they are offensively terrible.
Maybe I was exaggerating a bit, Bourque and Hagman could be 2nd liners on a bad team, Stajan is VERY borderline and has inflated numbers because of 1st line minutes in the weak eastern conference. That leaves you with one legit first liner and 3 borderline top 6 guys to score most of your goals. And the proof is in the pudding. The Canucks 2nd line has scored more than any combination of a "top line" for the Flames that you can possibly make, and that would only be if Iginla wasn't playing with plugs like Conroy because he has no chemistry with anyone else.
hagman is in his 3rd straight 20 goal season, and bourque is capable of ~65 pts. those are 2nd liner numbers no matter what team.

I love Kesler but I ill find it hard to have the same respect for him if this is true. It's easy to call for taking discounted salaries when it applies to others but if you refuse to do the same when it's your turn it does say something about character.

I dont think Iginla is going to waive that NTC, he bleeds CALGARY and im sure everyone would agree. I can see ATL trading with the flames ONLY if Iginla was part of the package. This would seriously shake up the rest of the team and the IMPACT will be HUGE.
The Atlanta deal will be a trade that will see more impact than the Phanuef trade. There is no doubt on this, but how many playoff teams are willing to make the big move for Kovie? I can only picture the Hawks that have enough PROVEN assets to land Kovie. Of course, this is a very shallow view of the situation

FYI, the Canucks game will be on RDS/RDS HD today. I ordered the PPV game anyways but for people who have RDS you can watch it on there.
I know someone who ordered RDS to "try to remember French language again", watched the game, listened on 1040 and called the next day to cancel saying he "gave up on re-learning the language". I think the game cost him less than $.90 lol

I think Carolina might be Calgary though. The flames just lost Olli and added some new players. I think it is going to take them a few more games to learn each other's play.
Sorta like how the twins know where each other are. They've been playing together for all their lives so they have a good idea about that.
