I don't even think Oduya is even good as Bieksa. He's like your 5th - 6th D-man. I'm thinking more like O'Brien lol!

I would've waited a bit more and see what others has to offers.. if this is the best deal they could've gotten for Kovy then more power to them.
The only thing I like about the deal is Bergfors..but it's not very significant IMO.. time will tell
Makes me wonder what other teams offered ha

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo |
....i dont think that even the people that post in this thread notice that they almost talk more about NHL news than the canucks...i talk about NHL news just about as much as flames...it all intrigues me
maybe we should change the title of this thread to the 2009/2010 NHL/canucks Thread
because i sure see a lot of talk lately about flames trades...that has nothing to do with the canucks....so what the hell is it doing in this thread!?!?!(NHL TALK)
everyone knows kovie isnt coming to the canucks...why are you talking about it?!!?!??!(NHL TALK)
play by play of current games.... i.e. losing to ottawa 2-0(canucks talk)
plus if i created a flames thread...i would get nothing but absolutely BS spam from those 'youthful/immature' members that has nothing to do with anything..

play by play of current games.... i.e. losing to ottawa 2-0(canucks talk) | truth is..theres only a small handful of ppl in this thread who talk hockey..the rest..talk canucks and only that.

sadly, canucks fans are sometimes very ignorant...i cant even call them fans. Its sad to say, but when i watch a CGY game on the TV...all i see is red...it makes me wonder..wheres the pride in vancouver. Sure, we dont want to copy that tradition, but GMplace is lifeless on weekdays

He also would have made the Swedish Olympic hockey team but isn't allowed for some reason. Then again Freddy Modin made the team as well. Oduya was also a top 2 dman in New Jersey with Martin and is also going to the Olympics. Cormier can become a solid power forward if he ever bounces back and this year is supposed to be a deep draft.
I'm surprised Dudley did get back more than he did for Hossa. Not sure how Kovalchuk will fit with Lemaire's style in NJ though. Plus it would suck balls if he gets injured in the Olympics.

if they hadnt of had that run it wouldn't be like that.

Overall, ATL got shit in return for a superstar like Kovy. If that's what it took to get Kovy, I would have traded for him as a rental and try to make a deep run this year.
I'd like to see ATL make the playoffs and be taken out by the devils somehow..for being desperate
