I thought it is sold out. That's what I hear on the radio. Posted via RS Mobile
Check out Ticketmaster.ca. They revamped the interface so you can pick the exact sections and seats you want now its pretty cool. Also tells you whats available. I think its all lower bowl.
Yep, still quite a bit of lower ball left, nothing under $400 though, I don't think... Yeah I didn't end up getting those upper bowl ticks. They're right against the F'n wall, not worth 125 each, might as well just head to a bar and blow off that much on liquor.
and this is quoted by Jumbo Joe Thornton when asked if he is going to carry the team
Quote:
I don't necessarily believe in that so much ... Everybody knows that the most important position is goaltending and Nabby's a big part of this team
my god, i feel very sorry for all those people that have Thornton in your pools, it looks like he gave up already becuz OMG, I lose the assist king title this year to some swedish meatball head up north. hahha
and Patrick 20cent Kane became more of a douchebag...he's growing a mullet becuz he tried growing a beard last year, and it turned out like he's actually gone thru puberty...
Todd Bertuzzi, bubble boy
And now i got a question, since alot of people are calling the upsets...if LA were to beat Vancouver(not likely) is it an upset?
I don't know why, but I'm so concerned with our sell out streak. If the tickets don't sell out before game time for game 1 does that mean our sell out streak will be over? Or is that just for regular season games?
No the streak includes playoff games as well. We are at 302 straight sellouts at home which started in Nov of 2002. That makes the Canucks top 10 for best in the history of the NHL and in the top 20 for all-time in North American professional sports. Our mark of 302 straight games this season is 2nd only to the Minnesota Wild who have an active streak of 382 games.
The season-ticket base was capped at 17,000 for the 18,810 seats at gm place which leaves just 1,810 tickets to sell for each home game. Not hard!
Aquilini may be setting up too high of a price point. We will see what happens. Ticket price increases fucked up the Wings streak of 452 games when in 2007 they upped playoff tickets significantly which pissed off many season ticket holders and left thousands of seats unsold during the team's playoff run). The Red Wings streak of 452 ended that spring.
This years prices do seem crazy. We will see!

They need to get on the system the Seahawks use, it acutally shows you what the view looks like from your seat.
I have to say and give credit to vancouver...they have a pretty damn good team right now....that being said LA is nothing to look past...i think this will be a 7 game series...who will win...i dont have a clue...

I say no
If we have a completely healthy lineup, then maybe yes. LA has a pretty strong team and was only 2 points behind us in the standings. They also have the most road wins in the league so if they're able to steal a game or two from us on home ice, look out. I'm still cautiously optimistic about this series but definitely not expecting the Kings to be easy in any way.

I agree. In yesterday's newspaper, I was reading up on some stats between
the two teams. Pretty even. I think their special team rankings are pretty close.
And LA has the most road wins... guess which team has the most home wins
It'll be a good round.

Sami Salo says he wasn't injured. He just left due to personal reasons. If that's true, it's a huge relief. SOB will be ready too. Rome didn't skate today.
Quote:
VANCOUVER — Sami Salo insisted Tuesday he has a personal problem. No kidding. The wry defenceman has run out of comedy material.
Still, anything beats talking about the 29th injury — there's nothing funny about that — of his National Hockey League career, so Salo revised his playoff standup routine for reporters.
“Was there something wrong with me?” Salo responded when asked about the unspecified injury that Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault, only minutes earlier, said renders his status “day-to-day” for Thursday's playoff-opener against the Los Angeles Kings (7 p.m., CBC, Team 1040).
Oh, that injury.
“That was you guys who made that up,” Salo continued. “Personal reasons. Everything's good. Something came up. I couldn't play against Calgary [on Saturday], but everything has all settled down. There wasn't any injury if you guys want to know that."
