Gillis was smart not to re-sign him and though I like Mitchell, Gillis will do the wise thing and not re-sign him either. On the other hand, no one expected Bieksa to plateau, Schneider to whine during practice, Lukowich to get injured, etc.
We are feeling the loss of Luc Bourdon big time too. With a couple of seasons under his belt, he should have been as good as Edler.

It was an ugly goal for sure. But that's what killed the Canucks last night; the garbage and ugly goals. We have a highly skilled team that can set up great plays, but we the Hawks are stronger at the follow up plays.
And in reverse, Luongo is right. We should be doing the same to their net as they do to ours. I myself wouldn't complain if the Canucks worked for their fair share of ugly goals.
