Here's an update...
All the damage is covered but they are only giving me $1000 for the audio. I am thoroughly depressed. :'(
Please, all your audio enthusiasts out there, think about investing in some 2-way alarm systems or investing in insurance for your audio.
You just never know. The small fee you pay will prevent all this depression I'm going through right now!

Yep they only cover $1000 including installation + taxes
$5,000 for any exterior stuff including mods/body kits/rims.
So if you have expensive equipment PLEASE INSURE IT. It's roughly $150/year to insure $1000 extra. So to insure $2000 worth of stuff = $150/year on top. First $1000 is already covered. Keep in mind they depreciated your stuff 15% per year or look for the latest selling price.
I.E. If you paid $1000 for a deck 9 months ago and say Futureshop sells the same model for $600....you get $600. All this depends on your adjuster.
Problem with people that spend alot of money on their cars is that they ALWAYS think their car is safe, or they are close enough to hear their car. I had a good friend on RS spend $8000+ on his audio to have his car get stolen months later. He even put a paging alarm thinking it was enough even when I told him he'll need to beef it up way more.
If you TRULY value your car and spend alot of blood sweat and tears on it, spend some money on a GOOD and properly installed alarm.....PLUSSSSSSSSS get insurance. It might cost you an extra $30-50/month to have a complete system covered by ICBC. But at least if it is gone.....you get the FULL coverage. Especially if you have a HONDA.....you're a target. One of the easiest cars to break into.

I did go to two body repair shops to get some minor dings and scratches taken out already. One of which its employees were apparently oogling over my system. That raises a lot of questions.

I suggest for those of you with screens to do the same.

I read your other post.....I realized you have an E46 BMW. Those are one of the easiest cars to get into. Let's say you're not a professional theif and someone briefly told you how to break in you could do it in under 1 min. It'll defeat the factory alarm. ALOT of pre 2006 factory alarms can be defeated this way.
Get something like this. You can order them from BMW directly. Just get the cover from the sedan's rear driver side door. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbZBOopZEqo | |

With the way they broke in, I don't think this would help. They used a flat-head screwed driver, I THINK, to hack behind the locking mechanism. They just sort of hacked off the lock cylinder... I don't think that was an integral part of the break-in. I could be wrong, though...

I feel your pain. Similar situation happened many years ago when a had a BA + Denon system installed first and then went to look for an alarm. To this day I still swear that the A/V store that I got the quote for the alarm was behind the theft. It happened 2 days after I got the quote.

I could be wrong, though... | Yes it helps. Because they don't have access to the lock anymore. It's not a flimsy piece of plastic, it's metal. They would have to spend alot of extra time to hack the metal off before they could attempt to pick the lock.
