pennzoil platinum is actually shell oil.. if u want the better shell oil, you want the quaker state q horsepower 5w40 synthetic, which is rebadged shell helix ultra. the shell rotella t synthetic 5w40 is also a massively good oil at low prices.

the mobil1 0w40 is really good, but the 5w30 and 10w30 is garbage as they changed the additive packages and blends in it.

royal purple puts out its own advertising as the best oil just like every other oil company... blanket statements that RP is the best lubricant is just stupid, and makes you look stupid.

Seeing as most drivers would hardly notice a difference using an expensive premium synthetic, just stick to a regular OCI and you'll be fine.

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

there was an independent company that did motor oil tests few years back, royal purple did pretty bad on the test. royal purple is not as good as people hyped about it.

I don't know. If you think about it, why spend so much money on oil when you can do oil changes more frequently than spend xxx amount on high high synthetic oil? Is it really worth it if you're DD'ing your car, and changing it every "3,000KM - 5,000KM' like they say when they advertise their car?

Have you owned a motor that is turbo or supercharged? They take more stress than a naturally aspirated motor. Synthetic does help to a degree.

i run dino oil on our cars at home, i change the oil every 5k. i have yet to find a reason of why i should switch over to synthetic. i bet half of all the people out there don't even know why they are using synthetic, they just hear some mumbo jumbo from jimmy joe backyard bumfuck mechanic and think that whatever comes out of his mouth is the real deal.
