04 Acura TL General Questions

I am looking to purchase my first car. I see that a lot of 04 TL base model are just under $20K. I am really interested in it.

Just wondering...what are some of the general issues with the 04 TL (automatic), and hows the maintainance for the TL?

What should I be aware of?

Also, what MPG does the car usually get? Can anyone recommend a reliable acura dealership?

Thanks in advance. Any help will be appreciated.

Spot on.
Get the suspension checked out too.

I think, the 04's have some kind of suspension leak back then or something. I don't 100% remember what it was.

Tranny issue was def. on the 04's - had a coworker who owned one, replaced the tranny like 2 times before trying to get a full refund on the car; turned out to be a nightmare. He's a Nissan guy now because of this experience. I think the 6 speeds are ok, but they're pretty rare as most people know.

*knock on wood* Nothing really has happened to my 04... YET, it is still rolling young at 22,000km. Northshore Acura I have heard good things about, as well as Burrard.

Check out AcuraZine, you would get more feedback over there

I find the weakpoint of most hondas are the automatic transmissions. From preludes, tl's to odysessy to name a few. You just need to remember to service them often.
