Wife did a decent #5 on me and our son with some fade. It was Ok. Definitely not the best, a couple uneven parts but ok under the circumstances. Mom then decided to try, but decided not listen to our advice to use the guards and gave my dad a #2.
Wife managed to fix most of it so he wouldn't have to wear a hat for the next couple months.

yup, appointment only.
mask mandatory.
plastic sheets to cover instead of the re-useable covering we are used to.

Some places are putting in COVID surcharge....

Wife just cut mine, I'm fine for 2 weeks.

As far as the surcharge, I'm fine with donating to the same girl I've been going to forever. But a blanket charge for everyone, for some it might be that extra push to keep cutting at home. On the news the one shop they were at was charging $7.50 extra.

I just found out that my barber is not reopening... it was conveniently close to my place, cheap and he was a friendly older asian man. I guess he’s retiring.
33rd and Main, $15 tax and tips all in and he knew exactly how I wanted it. Actually most of my family had been going to him for years!
Where am I gonna find a replacement?

Walk-in allowed at Steveston Barber

Max 3 people in the waiting room

Must sanitize hands and wear mask

Barber wears a face shield

It was $24 cash (not sure if that was standard pricing). I tipped $6, given the circumstances. $30 for a haircut isn't too bad, it usually costs me $15 but that place is sketchy.

On recommendation of another rs member (thx @nabs) went to King Barber on 88 & Scott road. No line up they had 5? Barbers going all spread out. Gloves and masked up. 20 bucks+ tip= 25 in total.
They were bumping tunes in there, and they did a great fade. I'll be going back.
(I called first to book a time and the guy said to walk in there's no wait, this was around 12 on Friday)
