stayed there x-mas time 2 years ago what a awesome resort. You should up grade to diamond club it put you in your on private pool which is really peaceful. I went on the 6x6 trip which was really nice seeing the Dom Rep country side and they take you to a sugar cane field and get to see a hatian witch doctor which was really cool.

As well the carribian carnival takes you snorkeling and then you get to hold sting rays and get to swin with nurse sharks. That was just wild and only a half day trip so you can still come back and relax by the pool in the afternoon.

I was amazed about all the booze, non stop drinking every trip rum after rum after rum.

Make sure you bring pencils small candy for the little kids they ask for that when they run beside the bus and you get out anywhere.

Spent three weeks in theDR last year... travelled around with 8 people between a small northern town to Santa Domingo and ended with 10 days in Bavaro beach area. We rented an apartment by the beach... relaxing on the beach and clubbing at night was the way to go... Only place that really stood out for all of us was a day trip to Samoa Island. I was drunk by noon! lol
