Windshield wipes

Whats a good wipe or solution to get rid of that oil streak that you leave behind on windshield after touching it. People who uses kleenex to wipe their windshield when it fogs up will know this. This is the side that is inside of the car. I tried daiso and canadian tire windshield wipes and it just made it worst.

Sprayaway Glass Cleaner is good, you can get it at London Drugs. Or I use chemical guys glass cleaner thats ammonia free. It's safe for tinted glass as well.

shenmecar 07-02-2009 07:26 PM

wow seriously. Windex and newspaper works? Does the newspaper actually wipe clean?

ilvtofu 07-02-2009 09:32 PM

I use the invisible glass stuff from costco and a microfibre cloth, doesn't leave streaks and gives a nice reflection on the outside,

RRxtar 07-02-2009 10:17 PM

invisible glass.

DO NOT use windex because most of you have tint and if you're using windex on your windshield, you know you're going to use it on the side windows and windex eats tint.

i use invisible glass on my car windows, and my motorcycle helmet visor, and sunglasses.

Don't use the regular blue Windex since it has ammonia in it and will mess up your tint.

I use Invisible Glass. Buy it at Costco, it's like a pack of 4 for $12-$14. 1 bottle of it will run you ~$8-9 at Cambodian Tire, Lordco, etc.

The thing about using newspaper instead of a cloth is it looks more ghetto but won't leave lint or streaks.

ryugeeh 07-02-2009 11:50 PM

Do you just wipe it off with newspaper or somewhat "polish" it in circular motions?
I'm using Stoners Invisible Glass with a microfiber but there is still streaks...

?NR 07-03-2009 06:40 AM

I use steel wool.

!Aznboi128 07-03-2009 07:10 AM

I dont have a wind shield... use a helmet

shenmecar 07-03-2009 08:22 AM

Where is the invisible glass stuff located in Costco. House cleaning or car cleaning?

Alphamale 07-03-2009 08:46 AM

Why do fobs, in general, always like to use "worst"? It's "worse" most of the time that you guys use "worst".

Fuck. You. Fucking. Assnuggets.

I mean, is there no "worse" the Hong Kong edition of Webster's Dictionary or www.dictionary.com.hk?

shenmecar 07-03-2009 11:12 AM

^

eat shit and go be a teacher.

Alphamale 07-04-2009 03:21 AM

^Thanks for the recommendation and I do often teach but not as a profession (as per my previous post). That being said, you are welcome to remain ignorant.

hk20000 07-04-2009 09:03 AM

^ you mean remaining ignorant.

shenmecar 07-04-2009 09:06 AM

^ no, actually Alphamale is correct

We are not writing an essay for school. What does it matter if our language is not grammatically correct? I am not being ignorant, I just think I should give myself a break from PERFECT GRAMMAR when I am not in school. What are you going to do? Fail me?

Back on subject, what sort of material should I wipe the Invisible Glass stuff off with? I tried the 3M Glass Cleaner with a microfiber clothe because my friend had it lying around and it still leaves streaks. I'm thinking of getting the Invisible Glass at Costco this weekend.

hk20000 07-04-2009 09:12 AM

newspaper is great. It picks up oil and finger print. Try it with just plain old water or just polish the glass with dry newspaper if there is no grime on the glass. Showroom shine in no time.
