So I picked them up last weekend and I'm somewhat satisfied so far.
Few minor blemishes that I would have gotten anyway when worn a few times. They do fit very comfy for a dress shoe even though the insole is hard on touch.
Will be returning the Cole Haan cap toe oxford that I bought as an backup.

Just a heads up to any of you looking to cop common projects... it is significantly cheaper if you buy it from USA or Europe than it is from local shops. Most local or Canadian places are usually charging in the 580-640 +tax ballpark, but if you get them from USA (norse) or Europe (TBS), after exchange rates it usually works out to be ~$350-380 CAD +brokerage/taxes.
Got mine a couple of years ago from TBS and they were great about marking down the value on the customs form... not sure if they still do it though

Also if you ship them to the states, you don't have to worry about getting dinged customs that way. They've upped their limit to $800 so anything under that won't get hit with any duties or brokerage. But you still might get dinged on the way back from Canada, but if you already ship stuff down there it's worth it.

I ended up ordering the wife CPs from SSENSE cause it wasn't worth it to order across the border because it ends up being the same with taxes and extra duties/brokerage.

Still happy I got my black CPs from TBS as well for ~$260USD when the US was on par lol.

How are the black CPs? I thought of getting a pair but in my mind it seems like whatever goes with the black CPs will look just as good (or maybe even better) with my white CPs.. Been on the fence for a few months now.

I really like them a lot, they're one of my favorite pairs of shoes. They definitely will just look as good!

I'm not sure if they will, they don't have my size in stock anyways It's too bad TBS doesn't do the 25% off coupons anymore lol

the cork soles will conform to your feet and be the most comfortable pair of dress shoes. I know.

Anyone owned both and can compare between air max 90's or the 90's ultra and which one they preferred

have not tried the 90's ultra yet but air max 90's are fucking tanks for durability,Here i'm use to seeing shoes fall apart with stitching or something down the line...

these...had them at least 5 years worn and looked brand new everytime washed.

at 1100 tax in, couldn't pass up a good deal.

mackage just didn't have the features or the quality of leather so i passed and bought the rudsak
yups i find that the quality of the jackets are a lot better for the price you pay.
rabbit/fox fur and leather sleeves on mine which would probably cost $1200+ for something similar at mackage

check out shoplostfound.com in TO. i found their pricing and selection better than roden gray.

here- http://shoplostfound.com/collections...r-brown-alpine

otherwise just make a drive down to Seattle and go to brick and mortar which has a HUGE selection. http://brickmortarseattle.com/

edit: answer is no to any other local shops

I'm a shoe whore. 1) must be leather bottom 2) must be "wood" heels. Those are my bare minimum when i get a pair of shoes.

Ted baker did a good job on these so i was happy.

PS: these were similar to the ones I've had from 2 pairs of shoes ago. I will never buy these bottoms as once you walk in water / rain and time wears our the glue and it soaks in water.

personally you're looking for all the wrong things in a shoe...

you should be looking at the shoe construction , the type of leather used for the upper, and if you can help it, the last it's made on.

however, it comes with a price so it will also largely depend on your budget.

Factory-Second Shoe Availability

i own a pair of park aves, just hoping the sizing is close enough.
with shoe bank, it just tells you which store has it and you call the store and arrange for them to ship it to you?

sizing should be same- both based on the 65 last (i just googled the park aves..). the "defect" won't be the last shape for AEs..

and yes, call the location and they will ship.

i'd get brown but i'm not too adventurous with my welted shoe collection.

Anyone know where I could find a suit something along the lines of and is somewhat quality? Haven't tried browsing Chinatown but I can only assume it won't fit within the quality criteria.

Thanks!
