I personally like the Fruit of the Loom blank tees more than H&M blanks.. The H&M ones always seem to shrink funny, at least imo. I picked up a 4-pack of Fruit of the Loom "Euro-fit t-shirts" or something from Walmart in the states for $11. Fits very nicely. Not all wide and boxy like your average cheap blank tee.

All my tees and shoes are relatively cheap.. my tees are mostly blanks from American Apparel or Fruit of the Loom, and my shoes are all various slip-ons.. mostly Vans.
But I do still spend a pretty penny on quality jeans.. so I'm not too sure about the lower end stuff.
Style/price wise, Levi's from The Bay/Sears.. can't go wrong.
But now even the cheap stuff from Bluenotes/Urban Behavior isn't THAT bad. At least they're sticking with the trends. It's cheaper material, but a pair of slim fit jeans for like $30, can you really complain?

^wear it for yourself and you'll see. u'll know the difference between any sort of cheaply made hoodie and a w+h hoodie. Just have a feel of the hoodie and you'll know what I mean. the quality is top-notch and the chicks love it

W&H stuff is more form fitting.
I like their hoodies because their arms are longer, and the're all specially made and fitted.
My W&H, American Apparel, and a random slim fit Volcom hoodie are the only hoodies I have that I actually like the fit of.

Most other brands are just an off-the-shelf blank hoodie with a logo stamped on it.

Werd on the W+H hoodie, mines two years old and still going amazing. I love the fit, and look of it. If you ever find one that fits you on sale I'd say go for it.

What would "on sale" be? Around the $200 mark?

Other quality brands?

The first thing I did to waterproof mine was spray it with the Foot Locker brand water proofing spray. It worked.
Then I bought some mink oil.

They both darken the leather to an incredible degree. The mink oil allows for a thin layer of wax so you have a small layer of protection against bumps and scratches. Obviously the more your scratch and bump the boot, the more of the protection is wiped away leaving you prone to scratches. So less wear contrast from the mink oil because of this.. so if you're into a more beat-up look go for something thinner like a spray.

Found out from some friends and reading http://www.styleforum.net/ (great place to go for men's fashion both high and just street wear). I was never really into fashion and these types of brands before but when you start hearing and trying out their clothes you really notice the difference. I think all of their collection is made in canada (Vancouver company? not 100% sure). A few people I know mostly buy made in usa/canada clothing where it's always quality > quantity and price. You might spend $200 for a shirt but you'll still be wearing it 5-6 years down the road.

wings+horns has a sample sale once a year in the fall and you can get their stuff for a really good price.

I don't have comparison pics from before I sprayed and oiled them, but I just took some pics for ya.
Spoiler!

The scuff on the left boot happened a few weeks ago and originally started as a contrasty beige like on my right boot(scuffed it two days ago), but with the sweat from my feet and rain, it darkened to a degree. I kind of like it

And I got my mink oil from Browns Shoes at Metrotown. The stuff is thicker than vaseline so you need to warm it up via candle or blow dryer and then apply it while warm.

So, so, so, true.

The random cheaper t-shirts I have (Fruit of the Loom, H&M, AE, whatever) get all worn and stretched out and loses its shape after a couple of months.

I have some American Apparel tees from like 2 years ago and they're still fitting perfectly.
