$330 after tax and boys co lol. sounds kinda pricy for a simple jacket but i dont regret it at all... really simple and i could wear it with the semi formal clothes i have to wear to work. very nice materials. windbreaker outside and a lot of cushioning inside.

As an FYI: J. Crew Factory is a separate line of clothes from mainline J. Crew. In my experiences, their "slim fit" shirts aren't as slim fit (I need to have them tailored), and overall the Factory garments are of lower quality than their mainline counterparts. Factory shirts are marked by two black diamonds on the tag.

Just bought:

Balmain or not, that's not worth $3000+. Looks pretty gay IMO.

nice pick up on the cologne, mirin'

Yeah definitely the factory line must be a "sample" type hence the price and alternate website.

Had a feeling their " slim " isn't mean't for our asian frame so I stuck with sweaters in medium (5'9, 150 with 38 chest) so I can layer and wear a OBCD under. Just hoping the medium isn't TOO much larger as I wear a S on the normal J crew line.

Haha I just ordered some YSL La Nuit de L'homme as well (online from FrangranceX.net - free shipping to Canada).

Re: J. Crew Factory

I'm 5'9", 155, 36" chest. The Factory "slim fit" shirts in size small fit me perfectly in the shoulders but are pretty large in the waist and are definitely too long to wear untucked. I'm currently researching how to alter shirts so I can take them in and shorten them myself.

Good choice on the McT's! It just seemed to me that the Strand could be dressed down as much as the McTavish, but could be dressed up quite a bit more i.e. I wouldn't wear wingtips with a suit.

And I actually ordered mine from a guy on StyleForum. My wait time could be anywhere from 2-7 weeks judging from the replies in his thread. But I'm in no rush, so meh. I saved a bit of coin and it's getting shipped directly to me instead of having to pick it up in Blaine.
