| The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 Thread
I've had it for a while and still haven't done much modding.
What Roms are you guys using? What programs/app are you running on it?
I'm still using the stock ROM...
Tried navigating through XDA developers but its a pain in the ass...

im thinking of getting an xperia too, so i've been doing my research the past few days.
from what i noticed, energy's ROM seems to be the most popular, this guy does roms for the htc touch pro as well, and you can find a review of his rom on youtube and see how it works http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...rch_type=&aq=f http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524043 |

that looks really nice but I'd love to have some widgets on the home screen (appointments and whatnot)
I might install that one though..

The who makes Energy Rom is a totally faggit, he doesn't like when people tell him the bugs with his ROM, all he cares about is like teasing people and shit.

as anyone tried Touch-IT? http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...highlight=itje
is it like tf3d? I'm pretty much looking for the one that is the fastest tf3d with appointments on the home screen.

or do you have to charge it every day?

To be honest, if you want the best ROM , the chef , uDK.
He makes the fastest and most stable Roms, but he has updated in a month..
Heres a link if you are interested.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501038

I am highly interested in the Xperia 1, but it seems like it is unpopular in HK, or at least, not too many places carry it compare to the N97.
Right now, I am looking for a phone that has a large screen (at least 3"), and supports WiFi (Youtube and email).
On the other hand, the only reason why I like Xperia 1 is because of the cool factor. Sales people generally suggested that I go for 5800 Xpress instead. They say that Windows Mobile is still a slow system for a phone, and that if I don't use the applications (like doc editor), it will be a waste.
Can anyone tell me their experience with the Xperia 1? No store in HK has a working demo, so I actually haven't played with one before.

To be honest, Windows mobile is not as bad as everything things, as HTC is developing on the Touch Flo interface making it more faster, stable and better.
They already have like TF3D and TF2.5 in beta along with Windows 6.5 beta builds out.
With the release of Android , HTC is fricken booming in the cellular industry , sales must of increased dramatic along with their new phone unrevealed, HTC Hero.
Like when I first got my HTC diamond, it wasn't as fast and stable as it is now because I've installed Custom Firmwares on it made from new releases from HTC and as well as from other devices such as the diamond2 because there are people who port it from different devices making it compatible with the phone they desire.

| SE Xperia X1a Memory Card Compatibility
Hey Guys,
I just got my hand on a Xperia X1a, and I am in the market for a Sandisk Micro SDHC. With that said, I was wondering what's the largest Memory Card (Sandisk Micro SDHC) that the Xperia X1a can handle..
8gb? 16gb?
Thanks guys!
Alex

Hey Guys,
I have a couple questions in regards to SE Xperia X1a (That's already unlocked) and on Fido network.
1) How do u change the ringtone (like default) and not just for 1 person, but for general ringtones. I have the ringtones on my memory card but when i go to
Setting -> Sound and Notifications -> Notifications to change the ringtone, I can't view my ringtones on my card n the selection?
2) How do i seperate the phone contacts from the email contacts on my phone? it's really annoying when it all clutters up under "Contacts", I've tried to seperate the two since yesterday and its still there.
Thank you all for the help.

X1i isn't the nam version. its X1a so you won't be getting any 3Gloving and stuck with Edge instead.

actually from what i've read, rogers 3g has 1900 and 850...
but MOST of their 3g towers are 850, there aren't many 1900 ones out there
it'll be great if someone could confirm this

how does this phone compare to HTC Touch Pro? Looking at the reviews its very similar. I'm currently with Telus and was thinking of getting the HTC Touch Pro but my contract is up soon and also like the X1.

I hate the looks of the touch pro. It seems so much bigger and less slick looking. Keyboard is nicer on the TP and it also has an accelerometor (sp). Other than that it is the same.
