Parks for BBQs

Wondering if anyone has suggestions for good paks to have BBQs in. Preferably looking for one in Richmond or Burnaby or Vancouver. More family oriented, with washrooms etc, and not too crowded so there can be a bit of green space for activities.

anyone been to garry point park for bbqs? would that be a good spot?

TIA

Maybe Marine park on brunette hwy. But if you want all that i would definitely recommend peace arch. Their is tonnes of space just make sure you there early because all the picnic tables in the shade will all probably be taken up.

just went to one at marine park it was chilled, esp if you have a row boat or something like that to take out to the water. theres a open grass area and a open sand area, great for playing catch and what not. and the bbq areas are covered by shades from the trees. been there twice so far

How is it a shady place? Unless you mean it has lots of shade?

It's practically safe there.

Yes, I live near it....... By the time the sunset it's 10 and the park closes at 11. What's your point?

Confederation Park, north end of Willingdon in BBY... HUGE park, lots of open, sunny areas as well as shaded areas, lots of tables, playground, ball diamonds, oval track, skate park - all kinds of things to keep kids of all ages amused

Had a company BBQ over at Ambleside Park in West Van a few years ago that I organized and it was great. Plenty of space and tables around, beach was close by so families that had kids could go swimming and there's also the pool and basketball courts near by.

Second Beach over at Stanley Park is good to. Had a company BBQ there last year and it wasn't to crowded. There was more then enough room that we set up a volleyball net up that we rented.
