i saw the story line exactly like that.
non whites and blacks segregated, now they feel there is something or someone even below and beneath them and thus all that they suffered, they can now return to the aliens.

just came back from the theater where i was expecting something like terminator, but i'm glad it didn't turn out that way because this is a great movie with a lot of important themes.
you should watch it if you haven't already.

Went to Riverport @ 9pm last night and had to settle for the 10:45 showing. Whole theatre was packed for both D9 and Inglorious Basterds.
They had lines forming outside the entrance to Silvercity for both movies but we were near the front of the line so it didn't matter to us since we got great seats.
There were these 3 fucking idiots that decided to bypass the entire line outside and decided to wait outside the theatre. We were let in from the side entrance so those 3 guys got fucked hahaha |

I thought the first half progressed slowly but the last half was quite exciting.
I give it 9/10 for a movie thats a little more unconventional. |

Just saw it...
Nothing to add really because its all been said.
But the style that this movie was filmed and such (documentary/mockumentary format) .....a GREAT way to tell a VERY long story in a short period of time.

Saw this last night with a buddy. Awesome movie. At first I thought it was gonna suck, but once things got going the movie REALLY had my attention.
The robot definitely reminded me of Mechwarrior

Am I the only one that kinda enjoyed the camera thing at the beginning? I don't get motion sickness, but tt really wasn't that bad, compared to blairwitch, cloverfield etc.
It really gave it that documentary feel and I think that added to the movie.
Thought it was the best movie I saw this year and I've seen at least 15 in theatres.

Considering the $#!t you see on the previews, I just couldn't wait for that to get started already. But I blame that on my own impatience. It was still well paced. The previews just got me all revved for the action.

I had mixed feelings on this one. I love the fact that it's finally a pretty original sci-fi movie. Also it gets points for being a non American movie. Also points the subtle references to point out the ugliness of discrimination. But the documentary style camera work seemed off to me and the ending was weak.
