Yes it is legal. Transport Canada changed some regulations regarding US importation of automobiles.

My local Mitsu dealership was selling an Evo X MR at MSRP $43,000.

This guy is crazy if he thinks he can get that. Especially with 50,000kms.

Maybe if it had more mods, then the 36k would be worth it.

Yeah...those are EVO 8s. They run for about the same price as STIs in the same year. The older EVOs are definitely rare in the lower mainland so it's understandable that some ballin azn dig their hands into these. I'm not ballin, but I personally think that evo 8 and 9 > evo X and I would've gotten an 8 or a 9 instead of an X if they had 0% financing for 48 months .

no way evo X looks way better and interior looks nicer too, although quality is still meh

The Evo 9 the OP posted is going for $36K, which is like $1-2K more than an STI in the same year. The scarcity of the previous gen EVOs may be worth the extra $1-2K to EVO enthusiasts, so I think the price isn't that ridiculous...

eventhough its an evo 9 mr i still think hes asking too much.

i traded in my zed to get the evo 8 for faaaar less than what hes asking for. i did this through this delearship in richmond:
