IPhone 3G 2.2.1 Unlock
 
For some reason my old 3G unlock isn't working. I'm thinking maybe it's the little simchip that got busted. Where can i go to fix this? :)

goto cydia and install yellowsn0w.

When I got it done in HK in March they gave me a chip to put on top of the sim card. Do I still need that for 3.0 unlock?

no. upgrade to 3.0, jailbreak then download ultrasn0w from cydia

if you are on firmware 2.2.1 the chip will work (they are firmware specific), i dont know of a chip for 3.0 yet. but why bother? jailbreak and unlock is easy and free.

however chips are around $5 only.

i have one but its for 2.2.1 firmware. useless to me now. :(
