Black Berry Curve 8900??

Alright so im thinking of buying a BBCurve 8900
For 111 ..
Its so cheap its fishy... thats why im asking for help from you people!

What are the possibilities that its a fake?.. if its fake how would i tell if its not?

Check list to do when checking the phone
- try it out with my sim
- test if i can recieve and return calls..
- ill check the texting
- overall look (scratchs, dents, etc)
Robber prevention will be publics area, car full of friends.
(btw this is up front with cash, so its not some pay pal check scam lol)


Anyways overall im asking if u guys think its sketchy.. should i buy it? and how doi prevent being scammed?..

I doubt its a fake, but it could have problems (water damage to mic, broken keys, etc). Did you meet him over craigslist? Is he providing pics? Ask him where he got it, and why he priced it the way he did.

the only other thing i can think of is if it's a preview model from RIM then the PIN may be disabled so you won't be able to use any data on it

actually not sure where he is from.. because i was offered this thorugh a friend.. she asked me if i wanted one because someone had a few and was selling for 111.. lol the first thing that came to my mind was this is obviously sketchy but then again i dont see what could go wrong if im careful..

but ya.. i left my friend a msg telling her to count me in but if i could go on the day she picks it up because i want to check the phone or phones myself thourughly..
