laptop -> 3G PDA phone (WM6) -> connect to Internet?
for sure I will get an unlimited data plan for the phone itself...but I dont want to spend another $60per month on the 3G HSDPA dongle.

Is there anyway to connect my laptop to the phone and act as a modem?

and yes, you can tether with windows mobile. You can do it via bluetooth or usb cable.

It has been a while since i turned on my TyTn2, but I think its called "Internet Sharing".

Anyways, I highly recommend you tether with a USB cable over bluetooth:
1) USB cable is faster
2) USB cable charges your phone at the same time.
