wtf airfare prices On Air Canada why is it cheaper to fly from Seattle --> Vancouver --> Toronto --> Charlottetown Charlottetown --> Toronto --> Vancouver --> Seattle ($566.55 CAD) Then it is to fly from Vancouver --> Toronto --> Charlottetown Charlottetown--> Toronto --> Vancouver ($730.10 CAD) Exact dates and everything. |
depart us to arrival us is always cheaper...real reason? i dunno... |
Airport tax? I can only assume the airport tax is based on where the flight originated from and in Vancouver it is way higher than it is from Seattle. |
US competition. Just book them one way and when you're suppose to go to Seattle, leave. Generally North American pricing model for fares is that there's no difference whether or not you book each way separate or at the same time, unless the prices changed. |
I remember last year I found a ticket to London from Seattle via Toronto and back from London direct to Vancouver on AC for $590(CDN) tax in. You can find some killer deals on AC via Seattle. |
^ +1 Tonnes of deals if you fly out of Seatte. A year ago, I flew from San Francisco to Frankfurt for under $400. :) |
