Windows Mobile vs Android

Can someone who has used both systems comment on their stability? Which one hangs more often, or they both hang just as much?

I had a TyTn2 for a while before going with the HTC Dream.
I have never looked back.

Winmo was alright for me. It didn't hang...but I did get a memory leak that i could never figure out. I was forced to reboot once a week because of it.
I definitely had fun playing/hacking Winmo...the possibilities were endless.

As for Android, the stock setup won't cause any problems, but once you start installing apps, the apps might cause problems (One of the drawbacks to open source, i guess)

So you just need to install apps one at a time: do some testing, then either uninstall/move-on to the next app. Unfortunately, there is a lot of poorly coded crap out there.

When i read the android forums and I see all these people with speed/memory/stability issues, i can almost guarantee it's an app they installed causing it.

Anyways...in summary:
Speed? Android
GUI? Android
Usability/practicality? Android
Battery life? Android
Customization? Winmo for now...HTC Dream has not been completely rooted yet

Hope that helps

yeah but by customrizing, ie using a custom rom other then stock, you can get all those features out of a winmo phone. those limitations are usually network provider based, not the a problem with the phone itself.

the android is starting to look quite eye catching.

the HTC Hero 's UI really caught my eyes.

now the only thing is I don't know the status of android apps, are there only functional apps out out right now? any really hardware intensive apps like 3d games and what not that can match the gaming experience on the iphone? if there is how does it run?
