Long Distance in Whistler? If I am on Rogers wireless, is it long distance to make calls within Whistler? And do I get fucked if I use my GPS and any browser on my phone?? |
don't quote me on this but I have been told, and believe that all 604 area calls dialed on a mobile phone are considered local. When I call Abbotsford from Vancouver, it's a local call. If its local calling, data usage will be also considered local usage. |

As for GPS and Data, you are still in Canada on the Rogers network. No roaming fees for data, gps, sms, etc. Only for voice. Only time you will be dinged for roaming data charges is when you are on another carrier's network, like when you travel to the states. |
I can confirm this that Whistler is not long distance. I just got my bill and it says WHISTLER and i was not charged for roaming nor long distance. This would be the same for Abbotsford. They are both listed as Roaming, but neither of them were charged. This is the same for other people I know that are as well on the Fido/Rogers network. Since I work in Abbotsford, my coworkers and I call back to Vancouver at no extra charge. |
