Scratch Remover

What are some good scratch removers that you guys have used to fix up a surface scratch? The scratches arn't too deep. None of them have gone to the paint layer...luckily.

TIA

doesn't polishing with a compound accomplish the same thing?

Okay, I just took a closer look at the damage. Some parts the clear coat is completely gone. Is there anything I can do to fix this type of damage other than bringing it to a repair shop?

+3 but won't work that well if the clear is showing unless you want to use the sand paper/touch up paint method.

If some of the clear is gone, that part of the scratch will not buff out

I picked up some Turtle Wax Med. Cut Polish today. Used that on some very scratched back bumper then finished it off with some Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Worked Great!

Scratchx 2.0 is also amazing. It works wonders on dark cars.

It's near impossible to remove swirls by hand, the best you can do is hide them. There's a few products out there that will do the job, I use Zaino products and Scratchx on my jet black BMW and the results are great.

I plan on removing my car emblems soon.

Will ScratchX or Quixx remove the "new paint" unoxidized area from the emblem? Or will there still be a remaining emblem mark there?

Which is better Quixx or ScratchX? This is for a dark green car. Thanks in advance

Looking to remove some scratches from my car with quixx, will this make the small area I polished look brighter/shinier compared to other places I didn't fix up? @@

Yes, on a dark car you'll be able to tell right away but it's a easy fix..just have some wax on hand and do a quick hand wax.

Ditto on the Quixx. Used some clear coat from a touch up pen with it to fix a few scratches. Clear coat, sandpaper, Quixx, and wax after. The area you use the stuff on will be pretty much swirl free, so if the rest of your car has marks all over it might show depending on what color your car is.

Edit: Oh fail. OLD thread.
