| Need Help. Regency Lexus
My tranny is broken. See my Member's Journal Thread.
Basically, it sat there all day. I sat there waiting for my co-workers to pick me up for like 5 hours(not their fault) But they didn't even bother to ask for my keys when I left to walk to Starbucks off Terminal.
I sat there waiting for people, and not once in the 4+hours I was watching CSI did they ever ask me for the keys.
I actually told my co-workers not to bother come pick me up until I was asked for the keys. I had all day to spend since I was on call, but what the fuck? My friend came by, and I met all of the managers at Coastal Ford before I went back, and not once did they even bother asking for the keys. I got to drive a couple of the cars off the lot before I bothered going back within 2 hours.
MY TRANNY IS BROKEN. HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO MOVE THE CAR WITHOUT THE KEYS AND MY COMPUSTAR.
I expected a courtesy car, but I got nothing. What the fuck is that shit?
"not a big enough service to be eligible for a courtesy car"
My tranny is fucking BROKEN. I told you guys to diagnose the real problem. I sat there for hours waiting for real service.
If anyone works there.
Please go fix my car, or give me a courtesy car.
I don't appreciate driving a Focus from Coastal Ford because of connections. I want a legit courtesy car, meaning you're actually fixing it.
It has a big "I'M KILLING IT" on the back.
Fix it. I know you're more than one of you are on here.

Of your car's age and price, i don't see the point of going to a stealership...

It's kind of a freak thing for the tranny to break and be STUCK in gear.
Lexus put this engine and tranny into all of their V8 cars, so if anyone can figure out whats wrong with it, it would be Lexus. I'm not gonna pay a guy to poke around for hours just to find out whats wrong with it. At least this way they tell me whats broken, and I bring it to my guy to fix.

courtesy car for a warranty repair is one thing
courtesy car for a car that is out of warranty is pretty much non existant with most dealerships

SpuGen,
You make it sound like Regency Lexus owes it to you.
But seriously. They don't. So shut up and put an end to your pity party.

Not to mention, I think if you are a long term customer and call in ahead, they usually try accommodate you.
If you think from the dealership's standpoint since they have a finite number of cars they have to prioritize.
Though at BMW Store, I have instances that they pull demo cars from the sales lot to give it to me for a day.
Not to mention, the diagnosis is the cheap part vs the replacement (they would even have less incentive to give you a courtesy car).. since most modern dealerships don't do transmission repairs on site.. since you know the transmission is dead, won't it be quicker to just order a refurb one?
I think if you have any problems, you might just want to escalate the issue to the Manager? or Lexus Canada? Quote:

So you want a courtesy car for them to diagnose your problem, and then you are gonna bring it to your own guy to fix it?
I dont think they would accomadate you after knowing about this.
BTW i dont think dealerships are obliged to give you a courtesy car if your car doesnt have warranty.

And Focus's are slow.
