Definitely TI. If you're a wannabe baller, go to Bellagio or Venetian.

How about how it looks like you can walk from Bally's to Rio and it would only take 5 minutes?

MGM is nice. Also if good if you are there for UFC weekend like I was.

Monte Carlo is ok, really good service on all parts, but most of the rooms need re-modeling.

I want to stay at NY NY or TI next time.

stayed at venetian 2 weekends ago (friday, sat, and sunday night)
$585 round trip including air and hotel from YVR.

room was huge, no need to go down the strip like the others said, even i think bellagio is "too center"... the only hotels you need to go to are venetian+palazzo, wynn+encore, and caesars

I'm always at the Luxor unless someone else booked the trip. If you don't go often then go big. If you go every couple of months like I do just to get away from Vancouver, you'll quickly realize that you only use your room to shower and sleep which is why I'm always at the Luxor.

well if you include that part then you'll be forced to live in a nicer place to obtain baller status for the girl you're bringing back

I usually stay at either the Wynn/Encore or Venetian/Palazzo ... only reason is that they keep sending me deals that include slot credit that can easily be "withdrawn" from certain machines with minimal to no risk ... Last January I stayed at the Wynn for a night for $120, they gave me $100 in slot credit that took me a minute to get it as cash in hand ... not sure if still the same now since I haven't been to Vegas since then ...

I'd recommend TI as a good mid range hotel but its a bit farther from the lower hotels like Luxor and MGM ...

www.smartervegas.com has all the coupon codes and deals for every hotel ...

Also, reserve a cheaper room... then hide a 20 under your credit card when you check in (the usually know what's up) and ask for a complimentary upgrade. I usually get a hot tub or a big suite with this trick.

I've always wondered - don't they have cameras in the check-in area? Wouldn't management be able to see that the staff are giving away free upgrades?

I agree with about MGM when it's UFC weekend. I was down there a couple of years ago when it was Liddell vs Jackson.

It's worked for me everytime I used it ... most check in staff are given some authority to upgrade people so its within their rights and even though it does look more like bribing than tipping it seems to be a common practice in Vegas ...

I don't even usually small talk them, the last couple of times I slipped the cash and they expertly move it under the keyboard and just tell me how I can get this and that complimentary and I just choose what I want ... some people hint on what they want and that works too ... also check up on which hotels are easier to get upgrades ... this link is good as its regularly updated http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/travel-deals/529706/

absolutely not a problem. i've gotten suite upgrades for $20. my buddy got a fountain view at bellagio for $20 more.

honestly, the best $20 you'll ever spend in your life.

oh did i mention the give you back the $20 if they can't help you out?
